as Tech University where she received both her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education as well as her Master’s degree in Music Performance-Conducting. She taught high school and middle school choir in Lubbock ISD as well as serving for fourteen years as the Director of Music Ministries at St. John’s United Methodist Church. In 2011, Kathryn and her two sons, Henrik and Espen moved to Flower Mound. In 2012 she began teaching choir at Allen High School where she currently works as one of four directors teaching well over 500 choir students (who happen to be some of the very best young humans walking the halls of Allen High School!)

Kathryn is also a pianist, and regularly serves as a choral accompanist as well as a choral clinician and adjudicator in the Dallas area, Texas, and nationally. She spends the little free time she has enjoying her two sons—the oldest (Henrik) is finishing dual degrees in Vocal Performance and Choral Music Education at Texas Tech and is engaged to be married in the summer of 2020 to Kameryn; the youngest (Espen) is a percussionist. He will begin studies at Texas Tech in the Fall of 2019 pursuing a degree in Marketing and Advertising and marching with the Goin’ Band from Raiderland!

Kathryn enjoys cohesive worship enhanced by music that is thoughtfully chosen, carefully prepared, and generously and joyously offered by those who give back their talents on behalf of the entire congregation. She looks forward to continuing the ministry that has already been so beautifully and faithfully established at Prosper UMC.
