Pastor Melissa Hatch
Melissa Hatch is the worship pastor for The Mission contemporary worship service at Prosper UMC. She has been married to Michael for the past 14 years and they have two elementary-aged children. Melissa is entering her 6th year of pastoral ministry. Prior to pastoral ministry, she served for 10 years in college, young-adult, and singles ministries.
Melissa is a native Texan born in Odessa and grew up in the Houston area. Her husband, Michael, grew up in New England so many ask them how they met. They met through a common friend who introduced them at a high school reunion in Hollis, NH. Michael has become a Texan now and works for a Radio School based out of Oklahoma and keeps his hand in the business by working at Jack FM (100.3) and KVIL (103.7).
Melissa is a lifelong Methodist who has a passion for creating new avenues and places for worship and connection so that all people can find a place to belong, grow, and be in relationship with God. She loves getting her hands dirty in mission work and looks forward to finding many places to serve in our local community.
Melissa is an avid reader and loves to spend time with friends and family. She used to sing with the Dallas Symphony Chorus but now enjoys singing classic rock in the Connections Band here in the North Texas Conference.
