Thursday, November 30, 2023:

Pause. Pray. Read. Be still. Write. Pray. Go about your day or turn in for the night.

Read: Psalm 80:1-7, 17-19

The psalmist pleads for revival and restoration of Israel, the people God chose to bring His message into the world. They repeatedly sinned and broke their promise to follow and remain faithful to Him first before all else. Yet, before restoration must come repentance, humbling oneself before God, and returning to Him as Lord of all.

Be still and Reflect: We all struggle at some point with sin – in thought, attitude, or action. Where do you sense the need for renewal, revival, and restoration? Where do you need to receive God’s righteousness as you release sinfulness?

Pray: Hear me, O Lord God Almighty. I seek Your face and forgiveness for going my self-determined way. I return to You with humbled heart and the desire for Your desires for me. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon me and this nation. Revive and transform us so that we stand united as one church and one nation, under God, and who witnesses to and spreads the love of Christ with liberty and justice for all. In the name of Christ Jesus, who died for our sins, Amen.
