Pause. Pray. Read. Be still. Write. Pray.
Read: Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
On this ninth day of 2024, this verse is a beautiful reminder of the wonder found in the hope that God offers us. Hope is not a feeling, or a fleeting wish or a vague desire; it is a powerful force that can transform our lives. As we embrace the wonder of hope, we become beacons of light in a broken and beautiful world. A light that is not for us to simply look at, but a light that is something for us to see by.
Do you ever wonder what there is to see in the darkness of the night? In the quiet, stillness of the night God is still at work, and there is so much for us to wonder about and for us to see by night. We learn to see things differently, as we feel God’s love and presence around us, guiding us to see by.
Step out into the night, take a jacket with you of course, and let your imagination wander into the depths of the night sky. God will reveal something to you that is awe-inspiring and surprising. Celebrate the hope you receive as a beautiful reminder of the light to see by that can transform your world.
Pray: Loving God, we come before you in gratitude for the light to see by and the hope that sustains us. In a world often clouded by darkness, your divine illumination guides our path. May your light continue to shine dispelling fear and doubt, filling us with wonder and the assurance of your presence. Amen.
