Read. Be Still. Pause. Pray
Read: Your favorite story or scripture.
Be still: Today, I hope you can create your own devotional whether by writing it based on your favorite story or scripture in the Bible, or of a favorite story or memory from your life, or by pondering the questions below. I also want to encourage you to spend time outside enjoying the beauty of creation.
Whatever you do on this day, whatever you may write, or speak, or wherever you may go. May God reside in your heart in all that you do, in all that you say, at all the places you go. As you journey through your day, take notice of a few simple things as you interact throughout the day.
Ask yourself:
Are you quick to listen?
Are you slow to speak?
Are you slow to anger?
Are you quick to forgive yourself or others?
Are you a doer of love in all things?
Or just a few things?
Pause today to observe who you are in your daily life.
Are you your true self?
We are now just a little over a week into the Lenten journey, reflect on how you are doing on your journey. May you receive a blessing with whatever it is you may discover.
Go forth about your day with the blessing of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as you continue to seek the God who knows you, the God who adores you, and the God who calls each one of you, by name.
