Building on Faith

The Next 100 | Building for Future Generations

The Next 100 | Building for Future Generations

In June 2019, we purchased a 39-acre parcel of land at the corner of Preston Road and North Coleman Street. In August 2022, we completed our Building on Faith project with an exciting new campus that features:

  • A larger sanctuary;
  • Modern warming kitchen facilities;
  • Recreational grounds;
  • Larger community rooms;
  • Dedicated spaces for student ministry;
  • Safe, spacious children and preschool wing;
  • Music rehearsal room and suite;
  • Dedicated adult classrooms; and
  • And more amenities than we can now provide.

Moved by Our Mission

Moved by Our Mission

We, as a church are called to put God's grace into action and shine as a beacon of love, help, healing, hope, and joy.
As Prosper UMC moves into our second century, we must be mindful of the church's place in the community and the anchor it provides to those in spiritual need. Our mission is steadfast, yet our new facilities will give us the ability to shift our programs and processes to change with the times.

Parking Lot Expansion Project

Have you noticed the parking lot looking quite full at times throughout the year? We have, too! For the last 6 months, we have been working hard with engineers, contractors and the Town of Prosper to find a solution. While the goal is to have permanent parking that aligns with our campus expansion, a temporary parking lot answers the more immediate call ….and at a fraction of the cost! This project will add 122 spots to our already existing 117, thus more than doubling. This will be enormously beneficial for events, busy Sunday mornings, and busy weeknights with multiple ministries and outside groups meeting at once. This also opens up new possibilities for expanding our ministries and outreach in creative and helpful ways.
Because of savings during the construction project in 2022 and the continued generosity of many, this parking lot budget of $204,500 is completely covered. We give great thanks for your continued financial support of PUMC’s ministry, and we give great praise to God for the blessing to expand them for the sake of many. What an amazing church this is!
The parking lot will be constructed using a helpful new geogrid product that is used for stabilizing soft subgrades and reinforcing trafficked surfaces. On top of that will be a layer of recycled D-2 flexbase and then a layer of asphalt millings. All of this will be highly compressed for a smoother finish.
The project will take approximately a month to complete.
