Cornerstone Christmas

December 9, 2023

Spread holiday by ensuring a family has a joyful Christmas season. In 2023, Cornerstone will support more than 350 local children, ranging from newborns to high school seniors, along with their families. Each child will receive four new gifts, carefully chosen and wrapped by their parents, a stocking filled with age-appropriate surprises, a brand-new hoodie, and a Christmas tree if they’ve indicated a need. Families will also receive a generous food box to cover the two weeks of Christmas break, as well as all the ingredients for a memorable Christmas dinner.

In coordination with Cornerstone, we have 2 opportunities for you and your family to support this great ministry:

  1. Donate hoodies – We have a collection box at the Sanctuary entrance to drop off new hoodies. Sizes from 5T – adult 3XL (both male and female) are needed.
  2. Become a Host Family – A host family’s duty is to partner with a neighbor family and guide them through the day’s activities. Children are more than welcome to join in and help – we highly encourage families to serve together. The time commitment is about 2 hours. The event is on Saturday, December 9th. The first group would start about 8:15am and the last group would start at 12:00pm.  This opportunity usually takes about an hour and a half total. Each host family will have a specific start time and they can volunteer as a family. Our times to volunteer are 12:00-2:00pm and they need Spanish speaking volunteers that shift along with English only speaking. Sign up HERE.
